The Last Daughter ★★★★★

I read this book with a friend and omg it was so so good! I haven’t read many books recently that I’ve had to force myself to put down but this was one! Everything from the romance to the plot was amazingly well done and I really felt like I was in the story. This is a book that makes you feel like you’re not reading.

August Wrap Up

I don’t even know how it’s September already! I was able to read 12 books last month, 6 of which were just one series. Hopefully, I will have another good reading month!

  1. This Deceit of Ours by Shannon R. Lir
  2. The Liars Crown by Abigail Owen
  3. Infernium by Keri Lake
  4. Scarred by Emily McIntire
  5. Satan’s Affair by H.D. Carlton
  6. The House Isador box set (6 books) by Joely Sue Burkhart
  7. Wretched by Emily McIntire

The Liars Crown ★★★★★

*I was given this book in exchange for an honest review by NetGalley. This had no effect on my opinions*

I read this book so so fast! Once I finally sat down to read, it was like I couldn’t put it down because I needed to know what happened next. I think reading arcs is both a blessing and a curse because I want book 2 asap but book 1 hasn’t even been published yet! This one comes out on August 30th and I’d highly recommend picking it up!

I know that I’ve been MIA for a few weeks and sadly, I will continue to be. I’m currently in a reading slump and that also means a writing slump. I’m also having my wisdom teeth removed this week so I probably won’t be posting for at least a week after that!

I hope you are all enjoying August, I know I’m ready for fall and Halloween to come around!

Bad City

I was sent this book by Bookish First in exchange for an honest review. This in no way altered my opinions about the book.

I found myself really interested in this book really early on. The little summary provided both in the book and on Goodreads sounded incredibly interesting to me. I may not have picked this book up on my own but I’m glad that it was sent to me for review.

A Game of Fate ★★★★☆

This is the first book in a trilogy (I think) about Hades and Persephone, which is right up my alley. I really enjoyed this book, and I flew through it. I really liked how fast-paced it was and the plot that didn’t completely rely on the love story.

This review is going to be on the shorter side! I’m trying not to force myself to write more than I want to in order to try not to experience burnout.

Quick Break!

I’m going to take a quick break from posting for the next week. I’ll be right back on Monday though! I haven’t been reading a ton recently so I want a bit of time to read and be inspired to post reviews again! I hope you all have a great week and I’ll see you soon!

Blade of Secrets ★★★★★

I read this book so fast once I finally sat down and put time into reading it. The plot just grabs you and once it does, it doesn’t let you go. The story features the sisterly bond heavily and I really liked that they were willing to go through just about anything for each other. The story picks up quickly and I read it in a day because of it.
