Blood and Wrath ★★★★☆

I liked this book more than the first one!! I also read this book in like a day because it was so good! I felt as though this book had more plot and there was a better relationship between the main character and her alphas!

Goodreads summary:

Kai. Jax. Luka. Rion. Axel.

She was taken from us…again.
And now she’s in the hands of that sadistic psycho.
But now thanks to our bond, we have abilities that surpass even the strongest of our kind.
We’ll get her back…
And when we do…
Those who have hurt her will pay…
Along with anyone else who gets in our way…

My review:

This book had much more substance than the first one did. I felt like I was able to connect with the characters better! I felt like the romance also got better in this book, not to mention the increased frequency of spice. I am interested to see how everything progresses in the next book in terms of sharing.

The group of 5 guys is still as enamored with the main character as ever but they are learning more about each other as they spend time together. They are coming out of their shells more and I really enjoyed seeing each of them interact with her individually.

The villain in this book still doesn’t gain much depth and is still covered in a ton of secrecy. I’m going to see if this changes in the next book but if it doesn’t, I’m going to be really disappointed. It just feels like lazy writing that doesn’t care about the plot having an interesting villain. I like the idea of a purely bad villain but I just feel like there hasn’t been enough information to back up his bad nature.

I love that this book didn’t end in a cliffhanger but it did leave me wanting the next book. I will definitely be waiting to pick it up once it comes out! If you are willing to push through a mediocre first book, I think this one makes the series worth it.
