A Game of Fate ★★★★☆

This is the first book in a trilogy (I think) about Hades and Persephone, which is right up my alley. I really enjoyed this book, and I flew through it. I really liked how fast-paced it was and the plot that didn’t completely rely on the love story.

This review is going to be on the shorter side! I’m trying not to force myself to write more than I want to in order to try not to experience burnout.

Blade of Secrets ★★★★★

I read this book so fast once I finally sat down and put time into reading it. The plot just grabs you and once it does, it doesn’t let you go. The story features the sisterly bond heavily and I really liked that they were willing to go through just about anything for each other. The story picks up quickly and I read it in a day because of it.

Happy 4th of July!

I read this book so fast and finished it the day after it came out. I thought it was going to be the final book in the series but it turns out there is one more coming out next year. I am excited to see where the rest of the story goes based on the ending of this book. I wish the next book was coming out sooner because it does end on a pretty decent cliffhanger.

From Tormented Tides ★★★☆☆

*I was gifted this ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review. This didn’t affect my review in any way.* This book is coming out July 25th!

I was really interested in this book because of the pirate theme and the promise of a love story. I would say that this book delivered on these two aspects. This book does take a bit to get into and I almost put it down because of it. Not really a great start and I hate DNFing books so I continued reading…I don’t entirely regret it which is good.

Crown of Crimson ★★★★★

4.5 stars

I don’t think I enjoyed this book as much as the first one but I still read this book in about a day because I couldn’t put it down. I rounded it up to 5 stars because I think it still deserves that because of the second portion of this book. I was really excited about this book and now I’m excited for the next one! My review of book one is linked here!

*I was gifted this book in order to review it by the author and her team. This in no way shaped my review or opinions of this book.*

City of Gods and Monsters ★★★★★

I. loved. this. book. I literally was up until 3am just reading because I couldn’t put it down. I felt like I was right there with the characters and that’s not something that I feel too often. The world-building and the characters were just so so good! And! The author doesn’t leave the book on a cliffhanger!! Amazing! Also…there’s some spice in this book.
